Another great weekend!!

Yes it was a great weekend! Had big night home opener for Fresno Monsters Hockey... we lost, but still a great game! Can't believe how much I missed hockey! (but then, i was consoled with World Cup Soccer this summer.) Sunday was a bit gray and rainy... Topaz and I were slated to do the Fresno Bully Walk, but when she looked out the door and saw the rain.. she "said" "No Woofing way.." and went back to bed. LOL.

back to work for two nights... then Weds night it's Nickelback with my Besties!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yosemite birthday continued.....

Well, the birthday in Yosemite went well! Kitty, Ray and I met at Bridalveil falls at 11am... we all arrived within minutes of each other. We immediately set off to pay for room at Yosemite Lodge (could'nt check in til 5). We had a bit of brunch... then K and R rented bikes. We spent 3 plus hours in the bike seat!!!!! I had my mtn bike... so of course that made Ray want to go off road. (shhhhhhh). We rode over to the Ahwahnee and checked out the glamour hotel of Yose. After the ride, we checked in and had champange and played "pass the piggies" game. We had supper at Yosemite lodge mountain room. Mmmmmm. I had flat iron, Kitty had Prime rib and Ray had shrimp and pasta. We were stuffed!! There were still tourists in the valley... but not too many. The weather was superb! We even sweated on the bike ride! Had to stop for Screamers mid ride (screamers = ice cream).
On Weds AM we meandered down to Glacier Pt and Sentinel Dome. Hiked to the top of the dome and took a ton of pics (Ray and I were in Photographer mode!!!!)

All in all, this was a great birthday!! We were not in Hawai'i... but we got to spend my bday together. The only thing missing was Mom.... still in Paradise.

Yosemite Birthday!

Well, October 11th... dinner at Flemings Steakhouse. Mmmmm!! Tuesday AM, I pack up the bikes and head up the hill to Yose! Will be staying at the Yosemite Lodge in one of their "family" rooms......(which means OUR own loo!) Dinner at the awahnee hotel/restaurant. Gonna bring the bikes and cameras and new Telephoto lens and get me some awesome shots. So from Monterey, to Hawai'i to Yosemite.... and lots of good music inbetween, it has been an awesome summer. Three weeks ago Sunaj and I saw Laurence Juber in a house concert at Cool Water Ranch near Oakhurst. And next week I am going to secure tickets for Richard Smith (Chet Atkins Protege) on Oct 23rd.
