Well, today is 5th May. Cinco de Mayo. I celebrated this "holiday" by venturing down to the International Travel Clinic and received updates on my vaccines, and to get my anti-malaria meds. I opted for the Lariam, despite its reputation for hallucinations. What? Did someone say hallucinations? You mean I get to experience gunfights, sword fights, sea driving..... six headed monsters and more? Bring em on! I still say that the best anti malarial is a nightly gin and tonic as skeeters detest Quinine. Now I just have to get through Saturday's century ride and when I do, I get to go to East Africa. Ok... I won't promise that I am going to do the full 100. I'll try for the 81 and will definately do 67. I always have a metric century tucked down inside of me somewhere. Unfortunately, I always have a leukemic patient to ride for.
