The holidays are creeping up......First Turkeys.... then some big fat dude with red alcoholic cheeks, wearing a red and whtie suit and unkempt beard. Christmas? Bah humbug, I shall stick with Hogmanay and Saturnia. Or Festivus.  And celebrating with my horses is the best way ever. This has been a good year, especially since snagging a job at Stanford University Hospital in out patient oncology.

Yuletide 2011

Well...I never really get into the Christmas spirit... I am more into the Yuletide
The Solstice is more my hols... I believe in Hogmanay....the Scottish Hols. I attended a wonderful Yuletide party with my workmates... we had delish appetizers and finger food, some good Patron margaritas and lots of laughs. I worked on Yuletide Eve.... which is how I love to spend my Yuletide eve. On Yuletide AM, I fed my horses their hay, grain and a special treat of peppermints..... Red Mercury is a ho for Peppermints. But Tao of Bud .... he is all grain....Then I sauntered down to Tammi's house and shared pressies with them. Del loved her Monsters jersey, Kota loved her books, and Tammi loved her wine, candles and chocolate. CJ loved his Wii hockey almost as much as mom and sister!!! I had four days off.... so I was able to attend a bachelorette party with Tam, Kim, Sus, and myself... to celebrate Jerri's coming wedding on the 5th of Jan. We just went out for supper then to Famous Daves for laughs and bloody marys. Mmmmmmmm. Lots of laughs.
The highlight of the hols was my trip up to Yose where I met my sister and Bruv Ray to spend the day ice skating. We had soooo much fun! We had a gluten free picnic lunch and then hit the ice. OMG two hours of skating we were all knackered! We sat in the pizza parlour by the fire and just went "ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh"

Otherwise a great holiday. Until the flu bug hit.....
I am feeling better and need to go back and get a few hours of sleep as I am feeling better.. and want to do a bike ride in the AM..... as long as tummy behaves.

Preston Reed: Love in the Old Country

On a Music High

Sat night. 22 october 11. 11 days after my 49th birthday.... I had the honour of seeing Preston Reed in concert at Coolwater Ranch house concerts...... Yeah. awesome. 40 fans.. one awesome guitarist. I have waited a year to see him live.. and my dream came true!!!! awesome. I have listened to his music for the last few years.... learning my faves... and found a few new faves last night.. including "Far Horizons".

I love live local music..... the big music companies can kiss my butt.. I love independent artists... so full of love and life.

Have I gushed enough? Yes, still on a music high.
